Register for work as a Care / Support Worker

An aged services support/care worker provides personal, physical and emotional support to older people who require assistance with daily living. They provide assistance with daily tasks such as showering, dressing, and eating, and dependent on the role, often assist with outings and social activities. The level of assistance provided will depend on the ability and health of the client.

Aged services support/care workers can work either in a client’s home, or in a residential care setting. They carry out their duties under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined care plans and/or organisational guidelines.

Register for work in the Hospitality Services area

An aged services hospitality/domestic support worker may undertake tasks such as:  preparing, cooking, delivering and serving meals; washing and ironing clothes, cleaning tidying & other ‘household duties; taking clients shopping and providing companionship and emotional support.

Aged services hospitality/domestic support workers can work either in a client’s home, or in a residential care setting. They carry out their duties under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined plans and/or organisational guidelines.

Register for Other Jobs on the General Employment Register

When people think about jobs in the Aged Services Sector they tend to think of  only of roles that are directly related to the direct care and support of clients, however as well as providing employment opportunities for Health Professionals (e.g.Registered & Enrolled Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists), we also employ people in many other dynamic roles… Business Development,  Marketing, Customer Service, Client Liaison, IT & E Support, Leisure and Lifestyle, Hospitality (Chefs, Cooks, Service Staff), Case Co-ordination/Management,  Financial Services, Community Development, Administration,  Property Management, Case Management etc….
